Tutors have been granted permission to access their interns’ continuing professional development (CPD) entries to validate and authenticate the records of activities before they are submitted to Council for assessment.

Tutors will, at first, be granted read-only access in preparation for the full implementation of the initiative in January 2018.

Council has resolved that tutors be given access to their interns’ CPD records to validate and authenticate the activities and ensure entries are current, sufficient and relevant before they are submitted to Council for assessment.

This initiative is aimed at improving the quality of an intern’s CPD entry and to facilitate the timely completion of internship within the required period of 365 days.

From 1 August 2017, tutors will be required to authenticate the entries and provide advice and guidance as needed. Tutors will initially be granted read-only access to the online files to prepare them for the full implementation of the initiative.

From 1 January 2018, tutors will be expected to perform a full verification of the CPD entries online before they are submitted to Council for assessment.
