Review of examination results
After each examination, all multiple-choice answer sheets completed by interns are scanned and marked electronically. This marking system eliminates the possibility of errors. The multiple-choice answer sheets are also validated using Council’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) for verification, and are moderated by a candidate who moderated the actual paper.
Pharmacist interns who failed any of the examination papers may apply to Council for a review or analysis of their examination results. The 2015 fee for review or analysis of examination results (per paper) is R552.86 VAT incl. This fee is published on Council’s website (here) and is revised annually. The fee levied is to cover the cost for review or analysis of examination results.
