Mulalo Phungo is the newly appointed Professional Affairs Manager. Prior to joining Council in January 2015, Mulalo was employed as a Research Pharmacist at the Wits Health Consortium (Peri-Natal HIV Unit) in Soweto. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. “It is an honour for me to work for the South African Pharmacy Council and I hope to uphold the integrity of the profession,” says Mulalo.

Before joining Council as a Professional Conduct Practitioner in 2012, Nhlamulo Isaac Nkanyane was employed as a Candidate Attorney at the Alexandra Justice Centre and, later, as a Professional Assistant at the Soshanguve Justice Centre. Nhlamulo holds an LLB Degree from the University of Venda and a postgraduate Diploma in Drafting and Interpretation of Contract from the University of Johannesburg.  “Ku khawurisa lowo tlhariha i ku nwu tswarisa vana vakwe,” says Nhlamulo.

Lister Mabuza is the newly appointed Professional Conduct Practitioner. She joined Council in 2008 and, prior to her appointment, worked as Personal Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer for more than six years. Lister holds a Diploma in Ecotourism Management through Tshwane University of Technology, and is a final-year Bachelor of Law student (UNISA). Lister is grateful for the opportunity provided by the SAPC’s financial assistance for further development to pursue her legal studies. She says: “There are no secrets to success; it is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

Letty Mathebe is the newly appointed Personal Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer and joined Council in April 2015. Prior to her appointment, she was an On-boarding/Induction Specialist at Cummins Business Services-Africa, HR Shared Services in Sandton. She worked as a Qualified Executive Assistant for more than 17 years and holds a Public Relations Diploma through PRISA. She has worked for local and global companies like Standard Bank of SA, South African Tourism (SA Tourism), International Labour Organization (ILO), SAAB Avitronics and Cummins. She was a committee member of SAAB (corporate responsibility) and AWAG (Africa Woman Affinity Group) within Cummins in Africa. She says: “God qualifies the unqualified. Integrity, professionalism and teamwork is key,that will be my contribution to the Council.”

Jerry MagwaiFinance Officer

Jerry Magwai is the newly appointed Financial Officer. He holds a Certificate in Commercial Accounting and has a National Diploma in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. Prior to joining Council in September 2014 he worked as a Senior Clerk at the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. “It is an honour for me to work for the South African Pharmacy Council and I am privileged to be part of the organisation, thus making a difference to its clients,” says Jerry.
