Ziyanda Mfuku
Manager: Professional Affairs (CPD and Registrations)
It is true that you should never burn bridges, and that pharmacy is a small world. This is exactly what Ziyanda Mfuku discovered recently.
Ziyanda has returned to Council after a stint in the Eastern Cape where she worked as the pharmaceutical policy specialist in the HIV/AIDS/STI Directorate. She holds a BPharm from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an MBA from UNISA School of Business Leadership.

Puseletso Mogano
Manager: Professional Affairs (Practice)
Puseletso Mogano is a newly appointed Manager: Professional Affairs (Practice). Prior to joining Council, Puseletso held the position of Senior Technical Advisor at Management Sciences for Health. She holds an MSc (Med) degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of the Limpopo (MEDUNSA) (now known as Sefako Makgatho Health Science University). Puseletso has worked in both the public and private sectors, and has built up a close working relationship with a number of universities in matters related to medicine supply management. Puseletso has developed and reviewed course material, and has convened a number of sessions for under- and postgraduate students.

Zanele Mahlangu
Finance Accounts Officer
Council appointed Zanele Mahlangu as a Finance Accounts Officer in July 2017. She is responsible for the maintenance of customer accounts, evaluation and reconciliation of debtors, aged analysis reports, evaluation of credit card authorisation forms and the processing of payments on bank speed point machines. Her responsibilities include responding to queries. Zanele is no stranger, having gained prior experience at Council as a student intern. She says: “It is an honour for me to work at the South African Pharmacy Council and I hope to make an effective contribution to this great institution.”

Finance Accounts Officer
Othelia Rosele was appointed as a Finance Accounts Officer in June 2017. She is responsible for the maintenance of customer accounts, evaluation and reconciliation of debtors, aged analysis reports, evaluation of credit card authorisation forms and the processing of payments on bank speed point machines. Othelia’s responsibilities include handling enquiries. Before joining Council, Othelia was employed as a trainee at the Department of Health. Othelia says: “I am proud to be an employee of the South African Pharmacy Council and will strive to carry out my responsibilities with diligence”.

Anthula Thumbran
Finance Accounts Officer
Anthula Thumbran was appointed as a Finance Accounts Officer in February 2017. She holds a Diploma in Accounting from the Association of Accounting Technicians. Before joining Council, Anthula was employed at the South African Post Office as a cash-flow officer. Anthula is responsible for the reconciliation of customer accounts and the collection of outstanding payments. She says: “I’m delighted to be a part of the South African Pharmacy Council. I intend to give of my best and be a real asset to the organisation.”
